Vladimir Krasov

Ph.D. in art history, artistic director and conductor of Choir of students of the State Pedagogical Institute named after M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov. Member of the Union of Composers of Russia (chairman - A.V. Tchaikovsky), the Moscow Musical Society (chairman - A.S. Sokolov), the Russian Musical Union (chairman - A.B. Krichevsky).

Graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of the Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Professor B.Kulikov). In 2021 he defended his dissertation on the topic "Choral Vocalization in Contemporary Russian Music".

V. Krasov is a laureate of all-Russian and international vocal competitions. Performs music of various eras, styles and genres, gives concerts at major European and world venues. He studied the styles of music performance of different eras, ancient dances, as well as the authentic manner of sound production. In 2013, he trained at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, since 2014 he worked in the State Academic Symphony Capella of Russia (artistic director Valery Polyansky). He worked with leading Russian and foreign musicians: V. Yurovsky, V. Spivakov, A. Rudin, M.Pletnev, V. Khalilov, F. Sardelli, S. Montanari, H. Rilling, T. Currentzis, P. Philips, F. Bernius, E. L. King.

Took part in the world premiere of Bishop Illarion Alfeev's "Christmas Oratorio" (USA, 2007), in master classes by Austria Barock Akademie (Gmunden, 2012), in the presentation of the Musica Aeterna choir (Perm, 2012) under the direction of Theodor Currentzis. Together with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra MUSICA VIVA conducted by A. Rudin, he performed the solo part of Lucifer in the oratorio "Resurrection" by G. Handel (Russian premiere, 2023).

One of the leading roles in V. Krasov's repertoire belongs to contemporary music: the opera series by D. Kurlyandsky, B. Filanovsky, A. Syumak, S. Nevsky, A. Sysoev, V. Rannev "Drillians" (2014-2019) - directed by B. Yukhananov; cantata "SOS (The Song of Songs)" (2017) and «Mon aimée, ma belle Iréne» (2023) by A. Sysoev, opera by A. Belousov "The Book of Seraphim" (2020). In 2018, at the Other Space festival, he took part in the premiere of B. Filanovsky's oratorio "Song of the World Sprouted" with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after E.F. Svetlanov under the direction of Vladimir Yurovsky.
